Horizons North Credit Union Board Announces Bradley H. Harvey's Planned Retirement as President and CEO

The Board of Directors for Horizons North Credit Union would like to officially announce that long-time President and CEO, Bradley H. Harvey, plans to retire June 3, 2024. Commenting on the announcement, Robert Webber, Board Chair, said, “Brad Harvey has been an icon of leadership and stability for 28 years not only for HNCU, but also in the North Metro Denver area. It is always bittersweet to say goodbye to such a respected and effective CEO. We wish Brad all the happiness and enjoyment one can have in retirement! I’m sure he will be found walking the fairways of the local golf courses and rooting for his beloved CU Buffaloes.”
As Brad rides off into the sunset, Board members have been working on his replacement to ensure a smooth transition and continue on a steady path for the future of HNCU.

Brad began his career with Horizons North Credit Union, formally School District 12 Federal Credit Union, in 1996, when he was named the CEO. In his 28-year career with the CU he’s seen it go through a name change, multiple field of membership expansions, and seen their asset size grow from $23 million to $117 million. HNCU is highly regarded as a local community partner and Harvey has been a model for his team. Throughout his tenure, Brad emerged as an exemplary community leader by seamlessly blending effective leadership skills, with strong values, while encouraging his team members to take initiative and grow.
Brad has remained active in community affairs and donates his time to many organizations and service groups. He is a former Board of Trustees Chairman for Western CUNA Management School, a past Chairman of the Adams 12 Five Star Schools Foundation, the former Chairman of the Rocky Mountain CUES Council, former Board and Supervisory Committee member for Suncorp Corporate Credit Union, the former Chairman of the BGA Committee for the Metro North Chamber of Commerce, former board member of the Westminster Legacy Foundation, current Westminster Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee member, and a current Board member and former Chairman of the Community Reach Center.
Harvey commented, “I have been blessed to work with wonderful Board members, staff members, credit union members, and community leaders over the years. I’m very proud that our greatest achievement was that we served our members to best of our abilities, and provided great benefit to them. I look forward to the credit union continuing to grow in the future, while I enjoy the time with my marvelous wife, Mary Ann.”
Horizons North Credit Union has a rich history of serving the Metro North community since 1960. HNCU is a full-service financial institution serving the needs of The City of Westminster, Adams, Broomfield, and Denver Counties, the staff, parents and students of the Adams 12 Five Star Schools District, the City of Northglenn employees, Community Reach Center, Independent Electrical Contractors - Rocky Mountain, and many other local community partners in the Metro North area. Today they serve over 7,000 members with $117 million in assets.
