NOTICE OF ANNUAL - Membership Meeting

Dear Valued Member,

The Horizons North Credit Union Annual Meeting will be held on May 13th of 2025.

Horizons North Credit Union’s Board of Directors has two open positions to serve a three-year term through 2028.

The credit union bylaws provide for nomination by committee or written petition. A nomination by written petition must be submitted to the Nominating Committee on or before the submission date of February 28, 2025, c/o:

A nomination by petition must contain verified signatures of at least 1% of the credit union members, with a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 500. To be effective, all nominations by petition must be accompanied by: (a) a signed certificate from the nominee stating the nominee is agreeable to nomination and will serve if elected to office, and (b) a statement of the qualifications and relevant biographical data for the nominee. Please note that the election will not be conducted by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when the number of nominees equals the number of positions to be filled and there have been no valid nominations by petition submitted.

 

 

Candidate Bios

Kori Hemans

Kori Hemans is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in business strategy, management, and project management. Currently serving as CFO at the Rocky Mountain Chapter of Independent Electrical Contractors (IECRM) she has been in that role for over 16 years. Hemans holds a Master of Arts in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Her professional experience spans over two decades, with a proven track record of success in management and leadership. Kori has been a member of Horizons North Credit Union since 2023. 

Joe Stephen - Incumbent

Joe Stephen has been a member of Horizons North Credit Union since 2009. Joe has a background in facilities management working in the primary/secondary education industry. Currently, Joe is a Bond Construction Project Manager for Adams 12 Five Star Schools, where he just celebrated his 19th anniversary in November. Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in business management, from Colorado State University.
