FRAUD PREVENTION ALERTS FOR MASTERCARD FROM HNCU
- When potential fraud is detected, you will receive an automatic email notification from Horizons North Credit Union with the option to click on the "fraud" or "no fraud" hyperlink.
- One minute after the email, you will receive a text alert from 96923 between 7am and 9pm (local time zone), which also has the "fraud" or "no fraud" option. (*SEE BELOW)
- If there is no response received from you, five minutes after the text alert, you will receive automatic phone calls to confirm or deny fraud. Phone calls will be between 8am and 9pm local cardholder time zone.
Remember - our messages will never ask for your PIN or account number.
As a reminder it's important to make sure Horizons North Credit Union has your current contact information, including your physical address, telephone numbers, and email address. Please make sure that all of this information is up to date! It's easy, all you have to do is login to Online Banking, select the "Services' tab, and click "Continue" next to "Address Change". You can also update your information anytime when you're in the branch. The phone number for our Fraud Center for Mastercard has changed to 1-855-293-2456. If you add this number to your phone contacts and label it "Fraud Center,' it will display whenever you get a call from this number.
